This performance was recorded during my second D.M. recital at Indiana University, on July 5, 2011. To this day I consider Velocities to be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding pieces I ever learned and performed. I had the great opportunity to perform this for Mr. Schwantner himself at a masterclass in 2013 at IU.
This performance was recorded during my second D.M. recital at Indiana University, on July 5, 2011. I was in the audience for Sammut's premiere performance of this piece at PASIC 2005 in Columbus, OH, and was honored to perform it on this recital.
This performance was recorded during my first D.M. recital at Indiana University, on March 27, 2010. I saw Éric Sammut perform this in 2005 at Wichita State University and received a special autographed copy from Mr. Sammut himself during the summer of 2008, whereupon I embarked on the exciting and challenging journey of learning it. My first performance was at a Percussion Departmental in September of 2008 at The University of North Texas.
